The Art Center Steering Committee has engaged two consultants to lead the arts center planning process, Tom Borrup and George Sutton, whose national practice focuses on strategic planning, facility and organizational development, and how arts, culture, and the creative economy can transform communities. Tom served as executive director of a nationally recognized community-based arts center, Intermedia Arts in Minneapolis, for more than 20 years and is author of The Creative Community Builder’s Handbook: How to Transform Communities Using Local Assets, Arts, and Culture. George, co-founder of the Jungle Theater in Minneapolis, is a specialist in cultural facility planning and development.
